Howard County Bikeshare is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Our Commitment
We strive to conform to level AA of the World Wide Web Consortium Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.
Accessible Vehicles
We offer a range of accessible vehicles, including tricycles and cargo bikes with step-through frames. Contact our support team to request an accessible vehicle at any station. We are working with manufacturers to add more accessible options to our fleet.
App Accessibility
Our app is designed to work with screen readers and assistive technologies. We use semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and keyboard navigation support. The app is compatible with VoiceOver for iOS and TalkBack for Android.
